Overview and Application
Triple eccentric all metal hard sealed butterfly valveWidely used in various applications that require active shutdown. The quarter turn design and ultra-low operating torque also facilitate precise flow and pressure control. Our valve's true shut-off and adjustment capabilities can be achieved with a single product where two different valves are typically required. In addition, low torque also means low actuator costs.
Nowadays, compared to traditional process valves, ourTriple eccentric all metal hard sealed butterfly valveWe have taken an important step forward. Although they use the same cone in cone sealing mechanism as globe valves, the sealing has also been replaced by angular stroke rotation. The high quality, durability, and reliability of our MTM series, including its key contribution in automatic emergency shutdown, are ultimately the result of precise risk analysis applications and are based on our four basic product design features:
Torque seal
The sealing force of BOLON is generated by the torque applied to the outside, rather than mechanical interference in position sealed ball valves, butterfly valves, and plug valves. This means that the cone seal in the cone is generated by contact pressure, rather than frictional force generated by the elastic deformation of the valve seat. This feature enables our valves to handle high pressure levels and provide reliable and highly controlled operating torque.
Metal to metal sealing
The cone in cone concept of BOLON requires metal to metal sealing to handle more demanding applications. We use Stellite 21 as the valve seat material and duplex stainless steel with high mechanical properties as the low configuration elastic sealing ring. Stellite 21 is a cobalt alloy welded onto the valve seat, providing sufficient hardness and fluid wear resistance while ensuring high corrosion resistance. Due to its design, the metal sealing ring has elastic properties to be uniformly compressed around the sealing surface in the radial direction.
Angular travel rotation
Thanks to the sealing element that remains in place and the rotation around its own axis, compared to other lift valve stem valves, BOLON valves can save customers valuable space and significantly improve their operability due to lower and more consistent operating torque. In addition, the angular stroke rotation eliminates the negative effects such as compression and wear caused by the lifting valve stem on the packing, improves valve performance, and reduces fugitive leakage emissions.
Frictionless rotation
Eliminating the contact between the valve seat and the sealing ring during opening and closing means an extension of the seal and valve life. BOLON valves also possess the main features of angular displacement rotary valves, such as low and consistent operating torque, which enables the valve to maintain rapid and convenient operation at all times, even at very low angles, and can be adjusted. This feature makes our triple eccentric valve an ideal solution for any application that requires emergency shutdown, discharge, or frequent cycling operations, such as molecular sieves.
