In UV photocatalytic oxidation equipment, organic volatile waste gas needs to undergo photolysis and catalytic oxidation. Photolysis is achieved by the differentiation of oxygen molecules in the air through UV ultraviolet radiation, which promotes the differentiation of oxygen molecules into free oxygen. Because the positive and negative electrons on free oxygen are in an unbalanced state, free oxygen is easily linked with oxygen molecules to generate ozone, and the strong oxidation effect of ozone can promote the differentiation of organic volatile waste gas.

The UV photocatalytic oxidation equipment adopts advanced technological concepts in China and has been developed through long-term experiments by technical personnel. It is an environmentally friendly purification product with independent intellectual property rights that can decompose toxic and harmful substances in industrial waste gas and achieve deodorization and purification effects. The decomposed industrial waste gas can be discharged harmlessly without producing secondary pollution, while achieving high efficiency in killing bacteria.


UV photocatalytic oxidation equipment uses high-intensity nano ultraviolet radiation to destroy and decompose large molecular chains into small molecular chains, and then uses ozone and hydroxyl radicals for oxidation and catalytic oxidation with catalysts to convert organic matter into water and carbon dioxide, in order to achieve the goal of removing organic matter.


Working principle of UV photocatalytic oxidation equipment

Most semiconductor photocatalysts are n-type semiconductor materials (currently widely used as TiO2) that have a special band structure distinct from metals or insulating substances, namely a bandgap between a valence band and a conduction band.

Due to the relationship between the light absorption threshold and bandgap of semiconductors with the formula K=1240/Kg (eV), the absorption wavelength threshold of commonly used wide bandgap semiconductors is mostly in the ultraviolet region. When light with photon energy higher than the absorption threshold of the semiconductor is irradiated, the valence band electrons of the semiconductor undergo interband transitions, that is, from the valence band to the conduction band, thereby generating photo generated electrons (e -) and holes (h+). At this point, the dissolved oxygen adsorbed on the surface of the nanoparticles captures electrons to form superoxide anions, while the holes oxidize the hydroxide ions and water adsorbed on the catalyst surface into hydroxide radicals. And superoxide anions and hydroxyl radicals have strong oxidizing properties, which can oxidize the vast majority of organic matter to products CO2 and H2O, and even decompose some inorganic substances.

1. Odor removal: It can remove major pollutants such as volatile organic compounds (VOCs), inorganic substances, hydrogen sulfide, ammonia, thiols, as well as various odors. The deodorization effect greatly exceeds the odor pollutant emission standards issued in China in 1993 (GB14554-93) and 1996 (GB16297-1996).
