The use of semi shaded (beam edge) areas instead of only considering the planar portion of the beam can better handle the mass area and adjacent residual tissue. When used with GAFCHROMIC EBT film, the VIDAR DosimetryPRO Advantage film digitizer has 65536 levels of grayscale, providing more information in semi shaded areas. This means that the dose level of adjacent tissues can be measured more accurately, and it also means that lobe leakage dose is easy to measure in multi lobe sight systems. With the next generation proprietary high-definition CCD (HD CCD) technology and its ADC (automatic digitizer calibration) function, the image quality remains almost unchanged and ensures excellent grayscale reproduction for each image.
