Using variable frequency speed regulation to achieve constant pressure water supply has a significant energy-saving effect compared to using regulating valves to achieve constant pressure water supply (which can be calculated based on specific conditions). Its advantages are:


1. Starting balance, the starting current can be limited within the rated current, thereby avoiding the impact on the power grid during starting;


2. Due to the decrease in the average speed of the pump, the service life of the pump and valves can be extended;


3. Can eliminate the water hammer (also known as water hammer) effect during start-up and shutdown;


Generally speaking, when operating an electric motor with a frequency converter, it is only necessary to match the capacity of the motor equipped with the frequency converter with the actual motor capacity. When a frequency converter operates two motors at the same time, the capacity of the motor equipped with the frequency converter should be equal to the sum of the capacities of the two motors. But when the water consumption during peak load is much different from the full speed water supply of two pumps.


Consider reducing the capacity of the frequency converter appropriately, but pay attention to leaving enough capacity.
