The use of a tablet press relies heavily on the mold, which directly affects the weight difference and hardness of the tablets. Therefore, it must be installed correctly. The method is as follows:

1、 Before installing the mold on the tablet press, the working surface of the punch plate, upper and lower mold holes, middle mold hole, middle mold top wire, oil ring, insert plate, copper ring, scraper, guide, size cover plate, dust cover, outlet, feeding shoe, transmission rod, hopper, and the required installation die should be wiped clean piece by piece with 75% ethanol solution.

Open the lower left door panel and remove the stopper.

2、 Installation of the middle model

Align the middle mold of the tablet press with the middle mold hole and lay it flat. At this point, pass the punching rod through the upper punching hole, gently tap into the middle mold with a hand hammer, and consider it qualified if the middle mold plane is not higher than the turntable plane. Then, install and tighten the top thread of the middle mold.

3、 Installation of down punch rod

Apply lubricating oil to the lower punch rod, align it with the lower punch hole, and push it in (pushing method: gently push up the lower punch tail with the palm of your right hand, other actions may cause injury). After installing the punch rod in sequence, install the stopper. Then manually rotate the disc for 2-5 cycles, and if there is no abnormal noise, it is considered qualified.

4、 Installation of tablet press mold insert plate, copper ring, scraper, guide, and outlet

Insert the plug into the correct position and tighten the screws. Connect the copper ring to the scraper, push it into the turntable, and fix the scraper in the correct position with a hex screw. The principle of installing and removing the copper ring and scraper: Install and remove both at the same time. Attention should be paid during the installation of the guide: the guide should be higher than the plane of the punch, and the height should be half of the thickness of the tablet. Then install the outlet, which should not come into contact with the turntable to avoid friction.
