In the context of the "dual carbon" goal, alternative fuels have become a key track for energy transformation. While most people are still worrying about the scarcity of high calorific value industrial solid waste, a neglected "treasure" of decoration waste is quietly becoming an important source of alternative fuels. It will break through geographical limitations and resource bottlenecks, sparking an energy revolution.
1. There is a hidden treasure of energy in the decoration waste
According to data, the combustible content in decoration waste is as high as 30% -40%. Combustible components such as wood, plastic, and fabric can be scientifically sorted and processed to be converted into high-value solid recycled fuel (SRF) and waste derived fuel (RDF). These fuels can be used as alternative fuels for thermal enterprises such as cement kilns and power plants, effectively replacing traditional fossil fuels such as coal and reducing carbon emissions.
2. Decoration waste is a nationwide "alternative fuel granary"
At present, the production of alternative fuels in China is mainly distributed in industrially developed areas. As shown in the national distribution map of alternative fuel production capacity (Figure 1), there is a serious imbalance in the development of the alternative fuel industry in the seven major regions of China. The proportion of monthly production of alternative fuels in South China and East China is the highest, reaching 39% and 25% respectively; Next are the Southwest and Central China regions, with monthly production reaching 15% and 11% respectively, showing a significant gap compared to the first two regions.
Unlike high calorific value industrial solid waste that is only concentrated in developed areas, decoration waste is present in every city and street across the country. Whether it is the renovation of old cities in bustling cities or the renovation of self built houses in rural areas, the continuous and stable production of decoration waste. This widely distributed characteristic is well suited to the national demand for alternative fuels, as it does not require long-distance transportation and can be produced locally, greatly reducing logistics costs and energy consumption. In the future, the use of lightweight decoration waste to produce alternative fuels is expected to be deployed nationwide, which can effectively reduce the uneven development of China's alternative fuel industry.
3. The 'disruptor' in the dilemma of alternative fuel sources
Single alternative fuel factories often fall into raw material wars, with competitors' low price acquisition strategies leading to extremely unstable supply of high calorific value solid waste raw materials. However, the decoration waste sorting factory has a stable output of light littering, providing a stable source of raw materials for supporting alternative fuel projects. The alternative fuel project adopts a flexible supply mode. When it is necessary to expand production capacity, more high-value solid waste raw materials can be selectively purchased to achieve diversified supply of raw materials; When high calorific value solid waste is scarce in the market, normal production can still be maintained. This is also the core reason why many alternative fuel factories have chosen to build factories next to renovation waste storage sites. A stable, flexible, and sustainable raw material supply chain has provided a "stabilizer" for production.
4. Case study on sorting decoration waste: Chongqing Green Environment Project
Faced with the complex composition and difficult sorting of decoration waste, Qinglv Environment has developed an intelligent and efficient modular sorting system. The golden combination of "3D sorting machine+AI intelligent sorting robot+magnetic separator+relaxation screen" allows every piece of garbage to "return to its place". There are over 100 application cases of decoration waste sorting equipment in green environments nationwide. The latest project to be implemented is the Chongqing project. Let's take a look at the specific situation of the Chongqing project.
Recently, the highly anticipated latest construction and decoration waste sorting project of Qinglv Environment has officially landed and successfully operated in Chongqing
Technology Empowers Fine Sorting New Project
The construction and decoration waste sorting project that landed in Chongqing this time covers a total area of 20000 square meters, with a daily processing capacity of up to 600 tons. The sorting system is an efficient, intelligent, and environmentally friendly system solution carefully designed by Qinglv Environment for the complex composition and difficult sorting of project waste.
The incoming materials enter the 3D sorting machine through a uniform feeding machine, and are accurately and quickly sorted into three types of materials: 3D materials, 2D light materials, and screened materials. 3D materials mainly include bricks, tiles, stones, metals, wood, hard plastics, etc. Among them, magnetic metals such as iron will be adsorbed and screened by magnetic separators, and can be directly sold to metal processing factories.
Wood and hard plastics will be identified, located, and sorted through the "machine vision" technology of AI intelligent sorting robots. The robot integrates vision, AI algorithms, and serial high-speed motion control technology, with a sorting accuracy of over 95%.
2D lightweight materials mainly include woven bags, films, and clothing, with less ash content and higher purity. They are compressed and packaged into SRF and RDF, which can generate high profits in the back-end recycling market.
The screened material is separated into fine sand and small stones by a relaxation sieve, which is clean and has few impurities. It can be recycled at a high price to produce recycled building aggregates, water stable materials, cement fillers, etc
The entire line system of this project adopts a modular design with wider applicability and flexible customization. Through refined and intelligent sorting, higher sorting purity is achieved with fewer equipment and lower energy consumption, reducing operating costs while maximizing resource recovery benefits, achieving 100% resource utilization.
The Green Environment project not only achieved breakthroughs in core technology, but also demonstrated a high pursuit of quality and environment in many details.
Dust prevention and protection of green sorting throughout the entire line: In order to effectively suppress the dust that may be generated during the sorting process, Qinglv has equipped customized dust prevention modules (including sealed covers and drop trays) on all conveying equipment, reducing dust emissions from the source and ensuring the cleanliness of the on-site working environment and the health of workers.
Multiple dust suppression measures to create a fresh environment: Based on the actual site conditions, the project has installed an efficient negative pressure dust removal spray system above the factory area. The system collaborates with the dust prevention module to form a three-dimensional dust control system, ensuring the air quality of the entire factory area.
Intelligent robots for precise and efficient sorting: In addition to AI vision sorting machines, heavy-duty robots have been deployed on heavy material sorting platforms, which can automatically and accurately select specific materials according to preset programs, ensuring continuous stability and efficiency of sorting.
Craftsmanship in design, showcasing industrial aesthetics: Qinglv deeply understands that modern factories not only need to be efficient, but also aesthetically pleasing. The project team has also put a lot of effort into the exterior design of the sorting line system, striving to achieve better and cleaner results, showcasing the design sense of modern industrial equipment, enhancing the overall image of the factory area, and demonstrating the professional and industrial aesthetic concept of green environment.
The successful operation of the Chongqing project is another important achievement of Qinglv Environment's "low-cost, high availability, and sustainable" smart sorting solution. The project not only provides an efficient, intelligent and environmentally friendly demonstration model for building decoration waste disposal, but also verifies the reliability and progressiveness of the green system solution in complex application scenarios.
From the source to the end, Chongqing defines the sorting of decoration waste using technology for green environment. Choosing a green environment means choosing a stable, efficient, and intelligent solution for the resource utilization of decoration waste, and seizing the golden track of the alternative fuel market!
