The graphite modified polypropylene tubular heat exchanger, as a key equipment in the fields of chemical, power, metallurgy, etc., directly affects the equipment life and production safety through the preparation and operation specifications before use. This type of heat exchanger uses graphite modified polypropylene as the core material, and optimizes the molecular structure to endow the material with characteristics such as corrosion resistance, fast thermal conductivity, and light weight. However, its high brittleness and lack of impact resistance also determine that its use must strictly follow the specifications.
Ensure environmental compatibility before installation. The equipment should be installed in an area with good ventilation and no risk of strong corrosive gas leakage, avoiding direct contact with open flames or high temperature sources. During installation, handle with care to avoid severe vibrations that may cause the graphite tube to rupture, especially to prevent radial stress on the extended graphite connecting pipe. If necessary, install a steel protective sleeve. Flexible joints should be used for pipeline connections to reduce mechanical stress transmission during operation, while ensuring that all flange bolts are evenly tightened to prevent local leakage.
System check must be completed before operation. Before initial use, all air inside the equipment should be emptied to prevent local overheating caused by air resistance; If used as an evaporator, it is necessary to confirm in advance that the material has no tendency to crystallize to avoid pipeline blockage. When starting, slowly open the valve and gradually increase the temperature and pressure to avoid thermal stress cracking caused by sudden temperature changes. For example, a pharmaceutical factory once caused graphite tubes to burst due to steam shock, but the problem was solved by controlling the heating rate. Real time monitoring of the inlet and outlet pressure difference is required during operation. If the pressure difference increases abnormally, it may indicate scaling or blockage, and the machine should be stopped immediately for inspection.
Maintaining requires establishing a scientific cycle. Regularly clean the surface dust of the heat exchanger in daily life to maintain heat dissipation efficiency; Check the aging condition of the sealing gasket every month and replace the faulty parts in a timely manner. For easily crystallized media, it is recommended to perform chemical cleaning every quarter, using weak acidic cleaning agents such as citric acid to avoid strong oxidants corroding graphite. When not in use for a long time, the equipment should be dried and sealed to prevent moisture absorption and cracking. A certain chemical plant has extended the equipment lifespan from 3 years to 8 years by establishing a "three inspections and three clearances" system.
