The emergence of water purifiers has greatly improved the quality of domestic water. Nowadays, many places with drinking water needs have installed water purifiers. So, what is the difference between household water purifiers and commercial water purifiers?
Commercial water purifiers are actually an extension of household water purifiers, with a more direct manifestation being a larger water output than household water purifiers. They are water purification products that can meet the direct drinking water (hot water, room temperature water, ice water) needs of more than 20 people. Commercial water purifiers are mainly used in public and commercial places, such as government agencies, office buildings, hospitals, schools, restaurants, hotels, airports, etc. At present, the sources of drinking water for many enterprises and units are bottled water and large and small water boilers.
The difference between the two
1. Different application scenarios
The difference between commercial water purifier products and household water purifier products is not significant, the biggest "difference" between the two is the "difference in the size of the water output". In general, commercial water purifier products are aimed at a larger audience, resulting in higher water production per unit time. Due to higher requirements for water output and water quality, the system is relatively complex. In addition, considering the need for installation and wiring, the process is more complicated than household use, especially in terms of water consumption configuration and water quality safety treatment.
Commercial water purifiers are generally installed in commercial, public places, and convenient drinking water points. The selection of installation location should be based on the original water pipeline, while considering whether drinking water is convenient, sewage is convenient, electricity is convenient, maintenance is convenient, whether it freezes and cracks in cold weather, whether it is coordinated and aesthetically pleasing with the overall space, and also avoiding children from touching it.
2. Different requirements for water purifiers
Characteristics of commercial purified drinking water
(1) The water usage period is more concentrated, with multiple drinking water peaks every day: each commercial water purification site has a certain water usage cycle, and the drinking water characteristics of ordinary commercial office buildings are mainly reflected in the relatively concentrated drinking water time, with drinking water peaks before work and during rest periods. The peak drinking water period is a good test of the water production efficiency of commercial water purifier equipment (peak water output). Once the water output per unit time of the water purifier cannot meet the peak drinking water demand, businesses need to consider replacing the water purifier equipment.
(2) The scale of drinking water users is larger, and the total daily water consumption is larger: compared with ordinary household water treatment, business and office places (such as office buildings, hospitals, schools, catering canteens, hotels and guesthouses) have a larger scale of drinking water users and a larger total daily water consumption. Taking ordinary office buildings as an example, the purpose of installing water purifiers is likely to be to solve the drinking water problem for all business tenants in the entire office building. The amount of water needed per day may be several times or even tens of times that of an ordinary household. And public places with constant foot traffic, such as airports and stations, do not need to talk much about their water demand.
(3) Water purification equipment needs to be more durable: Commercial water purifier equipment is often used in public places. Once the equipment malfunctions and cannot continue to work or the filter element is damaged, the water quality deteriorates, and the impact range is larger, involving more people. And this situation is something that commercial water purifier buyers do not want to see. So, the "product quality" and "durability" of commercial water purifier equipment are also very important assessment indicators.
(4) Higher water quality requirements: Solving drinking water safety issues and obtaining high-quality direct drinking water are our ultimate goals when choosing water purifiers, and commercial water purifier equipment has higher requirements. The number of people drinking water in the commercial water purification field is larger, and once there is a problem with water quality safety, the scope of impact is also wider, and the responsibility involved is greater. This is also a headache for commercial water purifier equipment procurement personnel. Many commercial water purifier products have a large water output, but after testing, the filtered water is extremely poor and only undergoes primary filtration. This situation is common in commercial water purifier products. Therefore, in the field of commercial water purification, there are higher requirements for the "water quality", "water output", and durability of water purifier products.
