The PDV-5000X portable anodic leaching heavy metal analyzer is based on an electrochemical measurement platform and uses anodic leaching analysis method to perform trace analysis on multiple heavy metal elements. Typical measurement objects include Zn, Cd, Pb, Cu, Hg, As, etc. It also has the characteristic of simultaneously measuring multiple elements such as Zn, Cd, Pb, Cu, etc.

The PDV-5000X portable anode leaching heavy metal analyzer mainly consists of two parts: a small electrolytic cell and a handheld analyzer. Depending on the measured elements, the small electrolytic cell will be equipped with different electrode combinations. When measuring, a reduction potential will be applied to the working electrode (anode). When the applied potential exceeds the precipitation potential of a certain metal ion to be measured, the analyzed metal ion in the solution will be reduced to a metal elemental and electroplated on the surface of the working electrode. The longer the electric potential is applied, the more metal is reduced and electroplated on the electrode surface (known as the "deposition" or "accumulation" process). When enough metal is deposited on the surface of the working electrode, the analyzer will apply a reverse potential to the working electrode (anode) at a constant speed, and the metal elements previously precipitated on the electrode will dissolve (oxidize). For a given electrolyte solution and electrode, each metal has a specific dissolution (oxidation) potential, and the electrons released during this process form a peak current. The analyzer will measure and record the peak current and corresponding dissolution potential, identify the type of metal based on the potential value of oxidation, and calculate the content of the metal to be tested in the water sample based on the magnitude of the peak current.

The PDV-5000X portable anodic leaching heavy metal analyzer is used for rapid detection and analysis of food safety, drinking water, environmental monitoring sampling in laboratories, as well as emergency testing in outdoor environments.
