The ZJ series slurry pump is a new type of high-efficiency, energy-saving, and wear-resistant pump. This series of pumps comprehensively applies the advantages of similar products at home and abroad in hydraulic design, structural design, and wear-resistant materials used, and innovates. It has the characteristics of high efficiency, energy saving, low vibration, low noise, reliable operation, long service life, and easy maintenance. The comprehensive performance of the pumps ranks high in China, and the efficiency indicators of most pumps are at the same level. It can be widely used in industries such as power, metallurgy, coal, and building materials to transport slurries containing solid particles. Such as hydraulic ash removal in power plants, slurry transportation in metallurgical beneficiation plants, coal slurry and heavy medium transportation in coal washing plants, etc. The maximum allowable slurry weight concentration Cw for transportation is 45% for ash (slag) slurry and coal slurry; 60% slurry and heavy medium.

Types, structural characteristics, and models of slurry pumps

1. Structural characteristics and models of ZJ slurry pump

(1) Structural characteristics of staring slurry pump

① Pump head section

The pump head of ZJ slurry pump includes pump casing, impeller, and shaft seal device. The pump head and bracket are bolted together

The pump casing of ZJ slurry pump is a double-layer shell structure. The outer layer is a metal pump casing (front pump casing, rear pump casing)

Lifting, installation, and trial operation of the pump

1. Lifting

When lifting pumps with packaging boxes, steel wire ropes should be tied according to the markings on the packaging boxes. When lifting, do not use the container

The bottom or side of the packaging box shall not be excessively tilted due to impact or severe vibration, and the packaging box shall not be placed on sharp edges

On objects, they must not be inverted.

Lift pumps without packaging boxes according to the following requirements.

(1) When lifting a horizontal pump without a base or with only a separate base, the lifting center of gravity should be at the square hole on the side of the bracket near the pump head, and the steel wire rope should be connected to the lifting hook vertically upwards through this point. To maintain the balance of the pump, an auxiliary lifting wire rope should be installed between the lifting ring screws on the pump casing and the lifting hook.The lifting ring screws on the bracket cover and the front and rear pump housings are designed for disassembling and assembling the bracket cover or front and rear pump housings, and should not be used separately for lifting the overall pump to avoid accidents.

2) The lifting belt motor and the horizontal pump with a common base have a lifting center of gravity near the coupling in the square hole of the bracket. The steel wire rope passes through this point and is vertically connected to the lifting hook. To maintain balance, it must also be placed in the pump casingAn auxiliary lifting wire rope is installed between the upper lifting ring screw, motor lifting ring screw, and lifting hook.

(3) Horizontal pump units with intermediate variable speed devices such as couplings should be lifted separately.

(4) The part where the steel wire rope comes into contact with the pump body should be cushioned with soft materials for protection to avoid damaging the appearance of the pump or causing steel damage

2. Installation

(1) Pre installation inspection

The pump has been inspected and tested before leaving the factory, and in order to ensure its good working condition, it must be installed correctly. Before installation, the model and parameters of the equipment should be checked according to the packing list to ensure they are correct, the components are complete and intact, and the accompanying technical data and quality certificates are complete. After verification, it should be read in detailRead relevant technical materials, especially the "ZJ series slurry pump user manual", master the relevant technical requirements and operating essentials before installation, and avoid blind operation.

(5) The pump consumes too much power.

1. The packing is pressed too tightly;

2. Friction between impeller and double suction sealing ring;

3. Excessive traffic.

2. Check the cause and eliminate mechanical friction;

3. Reduce traffic.

(6) The internal sound of the pump is abnormal, and the pump cannot fill water.

1. Excessive resistance in the suction pipe;

2. Excessive water absorption height;

3. Air is sucked in at the suction point;

4. The temperature of the liquid being sucked is too high;

5. There is cavitation phenomenon.

1. Clean the suction pipeline and bottom valve;

2. Reduce the water absorption height;

3. Check the bottom valve, lower the suction height, and block any air leaks;

4. Reduce liquid temperature;

5. Adjust the outlet valve to operate within the specified performance range.

(7) The pump is vibrating abnormally.

  • Pump cavitation occurs;

  • Unbalanced impeller;

  • The pump shaft and the motor shaft are not concentric;

  • The foot screw is loose.

  • Adjust the outlet valve to operate within the specified performance range;

  • The impeller is relatively statically balanced;

  • Correct the concentricity between the pump shaft and the motor shaft;

  • Tighten the foot screws

(8) The bearing is overheated.

1. There is no oil inside the bearing;

2. The pump shafts are not on the same centerline.

2. Correct the concentricity of the two axes and align them on the same centerline; Check and clean the bearing body.


Daily maintenance of ZJ series slurry pump:

1) The water pressure and volume of the bearing should meet the regulations, and the tightness of the packing should be adjusted (or replaced) at any time to avoid causing leakage of the shaft seal. And replace the shaft sleeve in a timely manner.
