The feed pump of the filter press adopts a hydraulic design and impeller installation method, ensuring that its performance curve is steeper than that of a general impurity pump. It is very suitable for achieving high flow, low-pressure feeding and low flow, high-pressure filtration with changes in resistance during the feeding of the filter press. Its special hydraulic performance perfectly matches the gradual process of the filter press from cavity to filling and then to drying. During the initial feeding stage, there is no need to control the motor overload caused by excessive flow rate without valves. At the same time, low pressure will not have an impact on the filter plate frame, reducing the damage of the filter cloth on the filter plate frame and not causing vibration to the filter plate. The small flow rate and high pressure in the later stage of pressure filtration are less likely to cause pump blockage. Especially during the later pressing period, the installation method of the impeller and the role of the secondary impeller of the pump under high pressure ensure that there is basically no leakage at the shaft seal.

When the feed pump of the filter press starts feeding and low-pressure filtration, the high flow rate remains unchanged. As the cavity is filled with material, the pressure increases, and the filtration capacity begins to decrease. When the set value is reached, the hydraulic system controls the operating speed to decrease and the output flow rate to decrease. The filtration energy gradually decreases, the feed pressure gradually increases, and the feed flow rate of the pump automatically decreases. The smaller flow rate is 20% of the rated flow rate. The pump output flow rate pressure curve is basically consistent with the optimal filtration curve of the filter press. The entire process is therefore highly efficient and energy-saving, saving more than 60% of energy compared to ordinary pumps.
