904L corrosion-resistant alloyIt is a super austenitic stainless steel designed to achieve moderate to high corrosion resistance in various process environments. The combination of high chromium and nickel content, coupled with the addition of molybdenum and copper, ensures good corrosion resistance. The highly alloyed chemical composition of 25% nickel and 4.5% molybdenum provides excellent resistance to chloride stress corrosion cracking, pitting, and general corrosion compared to 316L and 317L molybdenum reinforced stainless steel. Has extensibility and is easy to shape. Adding molybdenum and nitrogen may require more powerful processing equipment compared to standard 304/304L grades.
904L corrosion-resistant alloyApplication areas: 904L is a multifunctional material that can be widely used in many industries
1. Firefighting, water purification, marine engineering, hydraulic pipeline injection,
2. Pipelines, joints, and air in acidic gases
3. Evaporators, heat exchangers, filters, agitators, etc. in salt production,
4. In the condensation and pipeline of power plants using sewage and cooling water
5. Production of acidic chlorinated derivatives using organic catalysts,
6. Production of cellulose pulp bleaching agent
8. Ocean Engineering
9. Flue gas desulfurization components,
10. Condensation and separation of sulfuric acid,
11. Crystal salt concentration and evaporator,
12. Transport containers for corrosive chemicals
13. Reverse osmosis desalination device.
904L seamless pipe has good mechanical properties and high-temperature corrosion resistance, and is widely used in high temperature and strong corrosion. However, when nickel based alloys are subjected to high temperatures, the precipitation of carbides (mainly Cr23C6) at grain boundaries increases the Cr content near the grain boundaries, leading to intergranular corrosion (known as sensitization).
