The advantage of jigs is high recovery rate, but the equipment price is much higher than that of chutes, and the operating cost is also higher than that of chutes. Therefore, for the beneficiation of low-grade sand gold mines, chutes are used as coarse selection equipment, while jigs are mainly used for sweeping selection. The chute has a large processing capacity and low operating cost, and the tailings in the chute contain some lost gold. Therefore, it is necessary to clean the tailings in the chute, which requires the use of a jigs. Among all the reselection equipment, jigs have a high recovery rate. Therefore, in the sand gold cleaning process, jigs are the most important equipment.
For the selection of sand gold mines, methods such as mercury mixing or reselection can be used. Mercury mixing has a high recovery rate, but its operation is more complicated, while reselection is simpler and has a lower recovery rate than mercury mixing. The recovery rate of gold selection by jigs can be satisfactory, but the processing capacity of jigs is much lower than that of chutes.
