The CIRS model for oral imaging, testing, and (PIRATE) is the reference standard for radiological diagnosis of the jawbone. CIRS 134200 oral phantom is designed to assist technicians and clinical staff in selecting, monitoring, training, and validating intraoral radiographic imaging procedures and other commonly used scanning parameters for dental surgeries. CIRS 134200 oral phantom consists of maxilla, mandible, and clamping device. Illusion can be installed with flexible positioning including tripod and ball head accessories. The maxilla and mandible are hinged to allow dental technicians to place occlusal membranes or other intraoral devices with fixtures and visualize the phantom. CIRS 134200 oral phantom is composed of proprietary tissue equivalent materials and simulates reference tissues within 1% through linear attenuation of dental X-rays and other dental imaging procedures. The CIRS 134200 oral phantom is similar in size and structure to the average male human jawbone. The detailed 3D anthropomorphic anatomy of the phantom includes bones, sinuses, maxilla, mandible, mandibular nerve, and teeth. Bones contain a separation of cortex and trabeculae. Teeth include different types of dentin, enamel, root canal, and crown. One tooth contains a fracture, while the second tooth contains a cavity.
