CIRS Doppler fluid, model 769DF, is a reliable, stable, and harmless fluid used to simulate the acoustic and physical properties of human blood. When used in combination with an ultrasound Doppler blood flow phantom and pumping system, this fluid can be used to evaluate the system performance of a Doppler imaging system. The 769DF formula is based on published standards (see data sheet). It has been completely degassed before packaging to minimize the noise generated by bubbles. Use testing equipment traceable to NIST to test the sound velocity, attenuation, density, and viscosity of fluids.
