Microorganisms exist in the form of populations, with multiple microorganisms coexisting in the same environment. The characteristics of microorganisms are both similar and different, and different pollutants can be degraded by microorganisms found in nature. (1) Deodorization mechanism
a. The odorous gas dissolves when it comes into contact with the water film on the surface of the filler (biological filler) that is moistened by the dispersed water.
b. The odorous components dissolved in water are absorbed and decomposed by microorganisms residing on the filling material (biological filling material).
c. The absorbed odorous components also become a source of nutrients for microorganisms, which are absorbed, oxidized, decomposed, and utilized.

The above three phenomena occur synchronously and continuously. Some odor molecules with poor solubility can be directly captured and degraded by microorganisms, resulting in higher removal rates.
