Copper surface cleaning portGenerally installed in horizontal pipes, especially when there are many sanitary appliances connected to the horizontal branch pipes on each floor, the starting point of the horizontal branch pipes should be equipped with a cleaning port (sometimes replaced by a floor drain). When connecting two or more toilets or three or more sanitary appliances with cast iron horizontal pipes, and connecting four or more toilets with plastic horizontal pipes, cleaning ports should be installed.Copper surface cleaning portThe installation must be level with the ground, and the cleaning port set at the starting point of the drainage horizontal pipe should generally be kept at a distance of not less than 0.20 meters from the wall. When using a plug instead of a cleaning port, the distance should not be less than 0.4m. Function of the cleaning port: installed on the drainage horizontal pipe, when the pipe is blocked, open the cleaning port to clear the pipe, which is equivalent to a plug at the end of the pipe. Sometimes a floor drain can be used instead.
The setting of inspection and cleaning ports on drainage pipes should follow the "Code for Design of Building Water Supply and Drainage" GB 50015-2003, sections 4.5.12-4.5.134.5.12. For domestic drainage pipes, inspection and cleaning ports should be set according to the following regulations:
The distance between inspection ports on cast iron drainage pipes should not exceed 10m, and plastic drainage pipes should have one inspection port every six layers. However, inspection ports should be set up on the lower floors of buildings and on the higher floors of buildings with sanitary facilities. When the vertical pipe turns horizontally or there is a B-shaped pipe, inspection ports should be set up at the corner of the vertical pipe on that floor and the upper part of the B-shaped pipe.
Cleaning ports should be installed on cast iron drainage pipes connecting 2 or more toilets or 3 or more sanitary appliances. Cleaning ports should be installed on plastic drainage horizontal pipes connecting 4 or more toilets.
On drainage horizontal pipes with a water flow deflection angle greater than 45 degrees, inspection or cleaning ports should be installed. Note: Corner fittings for cleaning ports can be used as a substitute.
When the length from the bottom of the drainage riser or the cleaning port on the discharge pipe to the center of the outdoor inspection well is greater than the value in Table 4.5.12-1, a cleaning port should be installed on the discharge pipe.
