1. Gate valve is one of the shut-off valves, mainly used to connect or cut off the medium in the pipeline; Gate valves are suitable for a wide range of pressure, temperature, and diameter, especially for medium and large diameter pipelines.
2. The wedge-shaped rigid single gate structure is simple, small in size, and reliable in use. It is suitable for various media and pressure environments at room temperature and medium temperature. Widely used in industries such as water supply and drainage, gas, electricity, metallurgy, petroleum, chemical, textile, and urban construction, it is used for opening and closing pipelines for steam, water, and oil media.
3. Low fluid resistance. The internal medium channel of the gate valve body is straight through, and the flow direction of the medium through the gate valve does not change, so the flow resistance is relatively small.
4. Opening and closing are relatively effortless. The direction of the gate movement during opening and closing is perpendicular to the direction of the medium flow. Compared to globe valves, gate valves require less effort to open and close.
5. The direction of medium flow is generally not restricted. The medium can flow in any direction from both sides of the gate valve, achieving the purpose of connection or disconnection. Easy to install, suitable for pipelines where the flow direction of the medium may change.

Opening process
In the closed position, the valve body is tightly pressed against the valve seat by the mechanical pressure of the valve stem.
When the handwheel is turned counterclockwise, the valve stem moves in the opposite direction, and its bottom angular plane causes the ball to detach from the valve seat.
The valve stem continues to lift and interacts with the guide pin in the spiral groove of the valve stem, causing the ball to start rotating frictionlessly.
Until it reaches the fully open position, the valve stem is lifted to the limit position, and the ball rotates to the fully open position.
Closing process
When closing, rotate the handwheel clockwise and the valve stem begins to descend, causing the ball to move away from the valve seat and begin to rotate.
Continuing to rotate the handwheel, the valve stem is subjected to the action of the guide pin embedded in its spiral groove, causing the valve stem and gate to rotate 90 degrees simultaneously.
When it was about to close, the brake body had already rotated 90 degrees without contact with the valve seat.
After a few turns of the handwheel, the angular plane at the bottom of the valve stem mechanically wedges and presses the ball tightly against the valve seat, achieving * sealing.
