Equipment installation diagram:

During operation, the sensor emits sound waves to accurately measure 7-8 flow velocity points at different distances from left to right on the surface. Then, the on-site velocity and flow integrator calculates the instantaneous flow of the river based on velocity point data, river section, and hydraulic flow calculation model. Its characteristics are low cost, flexible configuration, and suitable for measuring river channels with a width of 5 meters to 10 meters or less. Due to only measuring one acoustic path, although the accuracy of point flow velocity on this acoustic path is high, the river channel is wide and the water depth varies greatly, resulting in lower accuracy in calculating river flow.
