Single phase capacitor operated asynchronous motor is a common type of motor, and its usage mainly includes the following steps:

  1. Understand the basic principle: A single-phase capacitor operated asynchronous motor separates single-phase AC power into AC power with a phase difference of 90 degrees through capacitor phase shifting, obtaining two phase variable currents and sending them to two windings respectively. This type of electric motor usually has two windings, one is the main winding and the other is the secondary winding, which are spatially different by 90 degrees in electrical angle. The secondary winding is connected in series with a working capacitor and then connected to the power supply in parallel with the main winding.

  2. Wiring preparation: Before wiring, it is necessary to prepare the necessary tools and materials, including wires, screwdrivers, wire strippers, etc. At the same time, it is important to ensure that the power cord and motor terminals are clearly labeled for proper connection.

  3. Connect power supply: Connect the power cord to the terminal block of the motor. Generally speaking, the live wire (L) is connected to the main winding, and the neutral wire (N) is connected to the secondary winding. If the motor has a grounding terminal, it also needs to be connected to the ground wire.

  4. Debugging and operation: After connecting the wires, a no-load trial run can be conducted to observe whether the motor can start and operate normally. If the motor cannot start or operates abnormally, it is necessary to check whether the wiring is correct and eliminate the fault.
