There are scientific research platforms such as the National Engineering Laboratory for Soil Pollution Prevention and Control and Remediation Technology in Farmland and the Hunan Provincial Engineering Technology Research Center for Heavy Metal Pollution Remediation in Farmland Soil; Undertake research projects such as the National Key R&D Program and the Provincial Key R&D Program; It is the vice chairman unit of the "National Collaborative Innovation Alliance for Comprehensive Prevention and Control of Heavy Metal Pollution in Agricultural Product Production Areas" and the vice chairman unit of the "China Agricultural Ecological Environment Protection Association". Yongqing Environmental Protection also participates in standard setting, assisting in the treatment and restoration of polluted farmland.

In recent years, Yongqing has invested tens of millions of yuan in independent research and development, gradually establishing a complete set of technologies and models for soil passivation, plant extraction, foliar resistance control, etc. that can achieve safe production of rice, wheat, and other crops on farmland soil contaminated with acidic and alkaline heavy metals in the north and south, and have been widely applied. In 2016, a third-party remediation project for heavy metal pollution in 236000 acres of farmland was successfully implemented, providing a model experience for third-party remediation of farmland.

In recent years, Yongqing Environmental Protection has implemented more than 10 heavy metal polluted farmland treatment projects totaling over 300000 acres in Hunan, Sichuan, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Hebei and other places. The total amount of farmland treated has remained stable, accumulating rich treatment experience for farmland with different pollution areas, types and degrees.

At present, Yongqing Environmental Protection Farmland Restoration has established two core restoration technology systems, covering mainstream technologies for farmland restoration in China, with equal emphasis on economic applicability and ecological sustainability. Compared with domestic and foreign treatment technologies and methods such as soil removal, chemical leaching, and microbial remediation, Yongqing's treatment technologies and methods have the characteristics of short cycle, low cost, good effect, and easy promotion, and have been applied in engineering.


Soil conditioning - Leaf resistance control - Water management
The main approach is to reduce soil heavy metal activity, decrease crop absorption, and control the transport of heavy metals to grains, in order to achieve the goal of safe production of agricultural products. This technology is not only suitable for cultivation, but also economically applicable and easy to promote, making it suitable for the restoration of large areas of polluted farmland.


Technical advantages:
·The reduction rate of available cadmium in soil with mild cadmium pollution reaches 20-30%, and the reduction rate of cadmium in rice reaches 30-50%; The reduction rate of available cadmium in moderately cadmium polluted soil reaches 30-40%, and the reduction rate of cadmium in rice reaches 50-70%.

The goal of gradually reducing the total amount of heavy metals in soil is achieved by planting remediation plants that are highly enriched in heavy metals or have a large total extraction capacity, and then harvesting, removing, and safely disposing of them. This technology has good ecological and environmental effects and is a green and efficient restoration technique.
