The HBML-3 ultrasonic open channel flowmeter is used in conjunction with the standard weir groove specified by the International Committee for the Measurement of Open Channel Flow to measure the flow rate of water in open channels. The instrument uses ultrasonic waves to measure the water level height at a designated position in front of the weir in the open channel through air in a non-contact manner, and then calculates the water flow rate according to the standard calculation method and formula for liquid level and flow rate. Suitable for flow measurement in water conservancy, hydropower, environmental protection, and various other open channel conditions, especially for flow measurement of viscous and corrosive sewage.
Can be used in conjunction with various measuring weirs with fixed water level flow relationships to measure the flow rate of water in open channels. The liquid level flow relationship curves of all standard weirs are solidified inside the instrument, and only need to be set as actual weirs during installation.
It can display instantaneous flow, cumulative flow, clock, and instrument running time. The minimum instantaneous flow rate is 0.01m3/h, the maximum value is 9999m3/h, and the maximum cumulative flow rate is m3/h.
The instrument can be directly used as a non-contact level gauge, and there are upper and lower limit alarm relays inside the instrument. The relay contact capacity is 36V, 0.2A.
The instrument has a remote transmission current output of 4mA~20mA, which can be set to be linearly related to flow rate or liquid level.
The instrument is equipped with a relay that can set the ratio as needed and output a relay closing signal with a closing time of 32ms each time. This signal can be connected to a water quality sampler, making it convenient to form a proportional sampling system based on flow rate.
The data storage is NVSRAM, which can store 512 sets of data, and the data storage interval can be set. For use in report printing or remote meter reading systems, it can be stored for 10 years during power outages.

The instrument is equipped with a hard clock, which comes with its own power supply system. Power outages will not affect the operation of the clock.
The sensor is equipped with an ultrasonic signal pre amplification circuit, which allows the lead between the sensor and the instrument to be as long as 500 meters.
The use of calibration rods to compensate for the effects of changes in air velocity with temperature, humidity, and composition has improved measurement accuracy.
The instrument is equipped with a standard printer interface (optional) and can be paired with a micro printer with a standard interface. Automatically print instantaneous and cumulative flow rates at set intervals.
The instrument is equipped with an RS232 communication interface (optional), which can form a remote computer automatic meter reading system with a computer through a telephone line or wireless data transmitter.
The instrument has daily cumulative, monthly cumulative, and annual cumulative query functions (optional), and can store cumulative flow for 3 years.
