The working principle of hair combing force testing:Fix the hair bundle on the tester, install a special comb on the movable force arm, comb the hair from top to bottom, and record the force and displacement data.

1. Hair combing force test

Purpose: To evaluate the smoothness of hair after product use and reflect the repair effect (such as reducing hair scale damage).

Method:

Instrument: Sorting force tester (such as HY-0580 (SB)).

Steps:

Fix the processed hair bundle on the instrument and comb it at a constant speed with a comb.

Measure the resistance during the combing process (unit: gf or mN), repeat multiple times and take the average value.

Standard:

Products with good repair effects can reduce combing power (such as reducing by 20% -50%).

Reference standard: ISO 18724 (Hair combing performance test)

Hair stretch deformation test

Purpose: To test the toughness and elasticity recovery ability of hair.

Method:

Instrument: High quality material testing machine (such as HY-0580 (SB)).

Steps:

Fix a single hair, apply tension until it breaks, and record the stress-strain curve.

Calculate the elastic modulus, elongation at break (%), and deformation recovery rate.

Standard:

The elongation at break of healthy hair is about 30% -50%, and repair products can improve elasticity (such as increasing recovery rate by 15%).

Test the bending resistance of hair bundles before and after the use of hair gel, hair conditioner and hair spray products for styling hair products
