The slurry pump transports a mixture of solid particles containing slag and water. Mainly used for conveying medium products, it is mostly applied to the beneficiation equipment in coal washing plants.   1、 Maintenance and inspection
When adjusting the clearance between the impeller of the slurry pump, first stop the pump, loosen the bolts that hold down the bearing components, tighten the nuts on the adjustment bolts, and move the bearing components forward. At the same time, rotate the shaft by hand in the direction of pump rotation until the impeller rubs against the front guard plate. For metal lined pumps, loosen the previously tightened nut by half a turn. Tighten the nut in front of the adjusting bolt again to move the bearing assembly backwards, with a gap of 0.5-1mm between the impeller and the front guard plate.
If you purchase a rubber lined pump, you can adjust the nut on the adjusting bolt to move the bearing assembly forward first, so that the impeller contacts the front sheath, and then move the bearing assembly backward, so that the impeller contacts the rear sheath. Measure the total movement distance of the bearing assembly, and take this distance as the gap between the impeller and the front and rear sheaths. Then adjust the position of the bearing assembly with the adjusting bolt to ensure the correct gap value between the impeller and the front and rear sheaths.
After adjusting the water pump product, the slurry pump must be rechecked before starting.
Whether the impeller rotates normally, whether the bearing assembly clamping bolts and adjustment bolts are tightened, and then start the equipment.
  2、 Improving the efficiency of slurry pumps can be approached from the following aspects:
1. Optimize the design and structure of the pump: By improving the design and structure of the pump, the flow resistance of fluid inside the pump is reduced, and the working efficiency of the pump is improved. For example, adopting a good impeller design, reducing the gap between the blades and the pump casing, etc.
2. Choose suitable materials: Choose high-strength, wear-resistant, and corrosion-resistant materials to manufacture various components of the pump, in order to improve the service life and work efficiency of the pump.
3. Control the working parameters of the pump: Reasonably adjust the working parameters of the pump, such as flow rate, head, speed, etc., to operate under optimal conditions and improve the working efficiency of the pump.
4. Regular maintenance and upkeep: Regularly inspect, clean, lubricate, and replace worn parts of the slurry pump to ensure its normal operation and avoid efficiency reduction caused by malfunctions.
5. Optimize the process flow: Optimize the conveying system in the mining process to reduce energy loss of slag slurry during transportation and improve work efficiency.
6. Energy saving measures: Adopt energy-saving motors, frequency converters and other equipment to achieve energy-saving operation.
7. Operator training: Strengthen the training of operators, improve their operational skills and maintenance awareness, and ensure the efficient operation of pumps.
  3、 Maintenance and upkeep
1. Regularly inspect the wear of pump body, impeller, seals and other components, and replace them promptly if any abnormalities are found.
2. Clean the pump body and filter to prevent impurities from blocking and affecting the normal operation of the pump.
3. Check the lubrication condition of components such as bearing seats, bearings, and sealing rings to ensure sufficient lubricating oil and no leakage.
4. Regularly check the operating status of the motor, and if any abnormalities are found, immediately stop the machine for maintenance.
5. During the operation of the pump, pay attention to the pressure, flow rate, temperature and other parameters of the pump, and adjust them in a timely manner if there are any abnormalities.
6. For pumps that have not been used for a long time, they should be disassembled, cleaned, and coated with anti rust oil, and stored in a dry and ventilated place.
7. Regularly conduct performance tests on the pump to ensure that its performance meets the requirements.
8. For mining slurry pumps under special working conditions such as high pressure, high temperature, and high viscosity, corresponding maintenance and upkeep measures should be formulated according to the specific situation.
9. Establish a comprehensive equipment file to record the usage and maintenance records of the pump, in order to keep abreast of the operating status of the equipment at all times.
10. For operators of mining slurry pumps, professional training should be provided to master the correct operating methods and maintenance knowledge.
