The treated exhaust gas mainly consists of water and carbon dioxide, and the generated exhaust gas has a low water content, which will not produce the phenomenon of chimney "white smoke".
In response to the relatively high concentration of dust in temporary storage warehouses and material pits, the front-end of the system is designed with an automatic rolling shutter dust collector, with a dust removal efficiency of ≥ 95%, which can remove the vast majority of particulate dust. The intermediate design of the system includes an alkali washed cyclone plate tower, which can not only remove more than 99% of acidic and alkaline waste gases, but also utilize the centrifugal characteristics of the cyclone plate to further separate larger particle dust and aerosols and other condensates. After passing through the cyclone plate washing tower, the waste gas mainly contains organic matter, and then goes through the core photochemical treatment process. In this stage, UV lamps mainly release 185nm ultraviolet wavelength to excite electron transitions, making inactive wave waste gas into charged free radicals such as hydroxyl groups, oxygen atoms and other unstable intermediate states. At the same time, some oxygen in the air will be excited to generate ozone, and the unstable intermediate state ions will recombine and undergo oxidation reaction with ozone, ultimately producing colorless and odorless water and carbon dioxide. The treated exhaust gas is discharged in compliance with standards through induced draft fans.

To ensure the continuous operation of the system and reduce the frequency of manual operation, Shanghai Lanbao Environmental Protection has designed an automatic interlocking function for the system, including interlocking between the acidity and alkalinity of the alkali washing tower and the dosing box, interlocking between the liquid level of the washing tower and the water replenishment valve, interlocking between the UV system and the fan, interlocking between the automatic rolling shutter dust collector and the electric machine, etc., which can achieve one click start and enhance the operability of the system. Starting from the stability and reliability of the system, Shanghai Lanbao Environmental Protection selects equipment and pipeline components made of materials that match the composition of the exhaust gas. The UV equipment is made of high-quality 304 stainless steel, which is resistant to UV radiation corrosion. The temporary storage warehouse considers the presence of acidic and alkaline exhaust gas and fire safety acceptance requirements. All collection pipeline systems are made of 304 stainless steel. For cost saving purposes outdoors, the washing tower and air ducts are made of PP material, and the entire system has a lifespan of up to 10 years.

The waste gas in the petrochemical industry can be divided into petroleum refining waste gas, petrochemical waste gas, synthetic fiber waste gas, and petroleum fertilizer waste gas. The exhaust gases emitted by the four major production industries can be divided into combustion flue gas, production process exhaust gas, torch exhaust gas, and unorganized emission exhaust gas according to their emission methods.
1. Combustion smoke pollution: The combustion smoke emissions from petrochemical plants account for about 60% of the total exhaust emissions. Petrochemical heating furnaces often use vacuum residue as fuel, which contains about 0.2-3% sulfur. The combustion produces exhaust gas containing sulfur dioxide, nitrogen oxides, and dust, which are discharged after dust removal. The sulfur dioxide and nitrogen oxides are mostly untreated and are generally discharged from high altitudes.
2. Process waste gas pollution: Due to the large scale of production facilities in petrochemical enterprises, the amount of process waste gas emissions is relatively high. The diffusion range of pollutants is large, and although they are discharged from high altitudes, environmental pollution is still relatively serious.
3. Torch exhaust gas pollution: Torch is a safety and environmental protection facility for petrochemical production. During start-up, shutdown, and abnormal operations (such as gas release and pressure reduction) of petrochemical production facilities, combustible gases are released into the flare for combustion before being discharged. The amount of discharge from the torch is relatively large compared to the heating furnace, and it also has a significant impact on the environment.
4. Tail gas pollution: The process waste gas from petrochemical production is recovered and treated by industrial equipment to become tail gas and discharged into the environment.
5. Unorganized emissions of exhaust gas pollution: The unorganized emissions of petrochemical enterprises mainly include two parts: one is the leakage of pipelines, pumps, equipment, etc. during the production process, and the volatilization of harmful gases into the environment from underground ditches; The second is that the vapor of petroleum products during the storage and transportation of light petrochemical products evaporates into the environment and pollutes the air.
