Automatic monitoring of surface water quality is a key task in water resource protection, and is one of the most important means of preventing pollution and providing water quality warnings. By using automatic online monitoring instruments for unmanned real-time monitoring of water quality, and utilizing modern information technology for data collection, transmission, and storage, timely and accurate understanding of water quality status and dynamic trends can be achieved.

This system monitors, warns, diagnoses, and evaluates the water quality status of key watersheds; Combining hydrological and water quality models, carry out routine water quality prediction and early warning of sudden pollution events, achieve trend analysis of water quality changes and risk warning, and provide auxiliary decision support for water quality regulation; It is of great significance for environmental protection decision-making departments to carry out effective water pollution prevention and management in a timely manner.

The overall architecture of the integrated water quality monitoring station includes a water collection unit, a pretreatment unit, a detection unit, a control unit, a data transmission and communication unit, and an auxiliary unit to achieve real-time online automatic analysis of water quality.

The water collection unit consists of water collection pumps, water collection pipelines, auxiliary facilities such as floats and cables; The preprocessing unit consists of sedimentation, coarse filtration, fine filtration, pipelines, valves, liquid level sensors, etc; The instrument analysis and detection unit consists of CODmn analyzer, ammonia nitrogen analyzer, total phosphorus analyzer, total nitrogen analyzer, and five parameter water quality automatic analyzer; The control unit consists of instrument control components, logic controllers, etc. The data transmission communication unit consists of a data acquisition module, fieldbus, communication system, etc. The auxiliary units include video surveillance, UPS stabilized power supply, system lightning protection, etc.

Automatic Water Quality Monitoring Systemfunction

The automatic water quality monitoring system includes the following main functions:

1) The water quality station system automatically controls the operation of water collection, distribution, pretreatment, online analysis, sample retention, and data communication.

2) The system's water collection is representative, and the collected water samples can represent the water quality status of the entire monitoring section.

3) The system has an effective automatic cleaning function, which can remotely achieve automatic cleaning of the pipelines, sedimentation tanks, and sampling tanks of each component system.

4) The remote control of the water quality station at the central station enables real-time remote control of on-site start-up and changes in sampling cycles, with continuous monitoring, interval monitoring, and emergency mode monitoring settings.

5) The water quality station system has a configuration setting function, allowing users to flexibly set relevant operating parameters and has good system scalability.

6) The system has three levels of anti lightning, surge, and electromagnetic interference functions: B, C, and D. It also has the ability to stabilize voltage, provide uninterrupted power supply, and drive overload protection.

7) The main electrical appliances, valves, pumps, and instruments of the water quality station system have automatic protection, diagnosis, and fault alarm functions.
