Equipment Introduction

Biodiesel is mainly made from animal and vegetable oils, gutter oil, etc., with methanol as the ester exchanger. Under appropriate reaction parameters and alkaline catalysts, such as sodium hydroxide, it generates fatty acid methyl esters, accompanied by a by-product of about 10% glycerol (generally with a purity of about 80%). The company has improved the problem of liquid sodium hydroxide in traditional processes and developed a new process that uses heterogeneous alkali catalysis to complete the ester exchange reaction between fatty acid resistant oils and methanol. Our current improved process has three typical features: firstly, it realizes the continuity and automation of the production process, avoiding the intermittent operation sections such as acid-base neutralization and washing purification steps used in traditional processes to remove liquid sodium hydroxide, reducing labor intensity, pollution, and waste disposal difficulty. Secondly, the purity of the fatty acid methyl ester component in biodiesel reaches over 99%, and the conversion of triglycerides is complete, resulting in a significant improvement in the purity of co produced glycerol (reaching over 98%). Thirdly, the quality of biodiesel products has been improved, such as a significant increase in cetane number.
