MonelK-500 Monel

MonelK-500 MonelIt is a nickel copper alloy that combines the excellent corrosion resistance of alloy 400 with greater strength and hardness. It has excellent corrosion resistance and higher strength and hardness than Monel 400. This is because elements such as Al and Ti are added to the alloy, and after a certain heat treatment, there are dispersed intermetallic compounds on the substrate. The organizational structure consists of a single-phase austenite structure and precipitation of dispersed Ni3Al and Ti phases. The Monel K500 has approximately three times the yield strength and two times the tensile strength of Monel 400, and can achieve higher mechanical properties through cold working or age hardening. Especially suitable for centrifugal pump shafts in ship services. The typical applications of K-500 alloy are instruments, oil well tools, electronic components, marine propellers, pump shafts, rotating impellers, scrapers, scrapers, and oil well drill collars.
