Working principle of natural gas impurity removal and agglomeration filter element

Droplets of oil, water, and other liquids are captured by the ultrafine fibers inside the coalescer. These micrometer sized fibers form tortuous channels for the airflow, forcing solid particles and liquid droplets to be captured by the ultrafine fibers through three filtering mechanisms: inertial collision, diffusion interception, and direct interception. The surface tension of the liquid causes small droplets to coalesce into larger droplets, which settle to the bottom of the container due to gravity.

The glass fiber coalescing filter element is made of high-density gradient glass fiber and designed as a single piece tube structure to reduce damage and leakage. The surface of the filter element is treated with hydrophobic and oleophobic materials, which can meet various precision level requirements.

Polyester fiber coalescing filter cartridge material is usually made of synthetic polyester fiber, which has good compatibility with various fluids. The filter element is made of a multi-layer spiral structure, with fibers of different properties used in each layer. The desired filtration accuracy is achieved by controlling parameters such as the shape, size, thickness, and density of each fiber layer.
