Overview
Measurement principle of nitrite HONO analyzer: The measurement of HONO concentration in the atmosphere adopts wet chemistry method. The basic principle is to use an absorbing liquid and utilize the diffusion between gas and liquid to convert HONO in the sampled gas into nitrite (NO2-), which is then measured using dual channel long path absorption spectroscopy (LOPAP). Long path absorption spectroscopy (LOPAP) is a widely used wet chemical method for measuring the concentration of gaseous nitrous acid in both laboratory research and field observations.

Nitrous acid HONO analyzerMeasurement principle:

The measurement of HONO concentration in the atmosphere is carried out using wet chemistry method.

The entire analysis system is divided into four parts: sampling unit, staining unit, detection unit, and automatic calibration system. In the sampling unit, a dual channel spiral tube is used to sample the atmosphere. The absorption liquid used is ultrapure water. The absorption liquid absorbs gaseous nitrous acid from the atmosphere in the dual channel spiral tube, and then forms a diazonium salt solution with sulfonamide in the staining unit. It is then mixed with the staining solution of naphthylethylenediamine hydrochloride to form azo dye, which enters the liquid core for detection. The automatic calibration system utilizes HCl gas to react with nitrite under certain temperature and humidity conditions to obtain a specific concentration of gaseous nitrite, which is used for the calibration of HONO analyzer.

Nitrous acid HONO analyzerIt has wide applications in environmental monitoring, food safety testing, and water quality testing, and with the continuous advancement of technology, its application scope and measurement accuracy will also continue to improve.
