Measuring principle
The OTT PLS 500 pressure water level gauge is designed with dry ceramic capacitive sensors and microprocessing technology, and is equipped with RS485 (SDI-12 protocol, Modbus RTU) or SDI-12 interface output options. The output values include water level, temperature, internal humidity, and sensor orientation measurements.
The OTT PLS 500 pressure type water level gauge comes with an air duct, which is connected to the outside atmosphere through the air duct, and the other end is connected to the pressure sensor. The pressure sensor simultaneously measures water pressure and external atmospheric pressure, directly obtains the actual water pressure through the pressure difference method, and then converts it into the corresponding water column height, which is output to the external data acquisition instrument in the form of water depth or water level.
The built-in microprocessor in the measurement unit can eliminate the effects of temperature or density changes in water, and can also compensate for the effects of gravity acceleration changes at different altitudes and latitudes.
Scope of application
The OTT PLS 500 pressure water level gauge can be applied to surface water level measurement, groundwater level measurement, long-term water level measurement, and other applications that require pressure water level measurement.
