Online filtering and degassing device
Whatman ™ The online filtration/degassing device (IFD) is directly connected to the HPLC pipeline to perform degassing and filtration when the flow is the same. The aqueous phase IFD is used to filter the HPLC mobile phase dominated by the aqueous phase, while the organic phase IFD is used to filter the HPLC mobile phase dominated by the organic phase. The aqueous IFD is specially designed for filtering aqueous phases with a moisture content of over 20%.
The aqueous IFD contains a hydrophilic nylon membrane with a pore size of 0.2 μ m, which is used to filter the mobile phase dominated by the aqueous phase. The organic phase IFD contains a high flow rate polypropylene membrane with a pore size of 0.2 μ m, which is used to filter the mobile phase containing the organic phase. Both types of filters are made of polypropylene shell, with a safety ring sealing the outer ring. The connection port is suitable for 1/16 '-1/8' pipes, and the air outlet at the inlet is equipped with a spiral cap.
The working principle of an online filter is the "bubble point" - the pressure point at which air passes through the wetting membrane. If the pressure remains below the bubble point, the gas will not pass through the membrane and will be trapped by the filter.
