The development of submersible thrusters is based on the production technology of submersible mixers, so their production process and performance characteristics have many similarities with submersible mixers. The main difference is that the speed of submersible thrusters is generally lower, usually between 36-115r/min, and the impeller diameter is larger, usually between 1100-2500mm.

The flow field distribution of a submersible thruster is relatively uniform, with low and slow flow velocity, but a wide range of action. This type of product is suitable for treatment structures that do not require a GT value (concrete mixing strength value) and have a large tank space, with the purpose of hydraulic circulation and maintaining flow velocity. This type of equipment is widely used in industrial and urban sewage treatment plants for anaerobic tank agitation and oxidation ditch push flow, generating low-speed tangential flow and creating water flow conditions for denitrification and phosphorus removal processes.
