Structure and working characteristics of twin-screw extruder:

The twin-screw plastic granulator is a combination of screw plasticization and plunger injection structures, which work together to complete plasticization injection work. When working, when the granular material falls into the barrel, like a single screw pre plasticization type, the material is plasticized into a molten state, pushed towards the front of the barrel by the rotating screw, and flows into the injection cavity through a one-way valve. At the beginning of injection, the entire plasticizing cylinder component moves forward under the push of the injection cylinder piston. At this time, the front cylindrical body integrated with the cylinder becomes the plunger, which injects the plasticized molten material in the injection cavity into the mold forming cavity through the nozzle, and then cools and solidifies to form.

The twin-screw granulator is mainly used for filling, blending, modifying, increasing, chlorinating, processing polypropylene and high internal water absorbing resin for rubber and engineering resins; Extrusion of biodegradable masterbatch, polyamide condensation, and polyurethane polymerization reaction; Granulation of carbon powder and magnetic powder, preparation of insulation materials, sheath materials, low smoke halogen-free flame-retardant PVC cable materials, and various silane crosslinking materials for cables. The material passes through the feeding port and is rolled into a ball shape along the screw groove under the action of the rotating screw. Due to the shearing, compression, and stirring of the screw, the material is further mixed and plasticized, and the temperature and pressure gradually increase, presenting a viscous flow state. It then passes through the machine head with a certain pressure and temperature to obtain the desired shape of the product.
