The Lumidox II 96 bit LED array design being applied for by Analytical Sales features a molded, ultra transparent, chemically inert 96 bit lens pad that captures almost all of the light emitted by the LED and guides it into the reaction vessel. Compared to previous generations of products, the performance of this new design may be improved by 40 times.

Another flat, chemically inert diffuse reflective pad can be used for standard SLAS footprints, as well as niche applications such as illuminated cell culture bottles, storage plates, and large containers.


Both array styles can be used for active cooling bases or passive (solid) bases. Two different lens styles and two different bases allow for more than 48 possible configurations. Attention: The solid base array is not self cooling and requires the use of sufficient coolers/cooling equipment.


Explanation on Array Cooling and Operating Temperature


To increase protection, each device has a built-in thermal fuse switch that automatically shuts down the device in case of overheating. The trip temperature of the Solid Base Array is 95 ° C and will reset when cooled to 65 ° C. If the temperature exceeds 75 ° C, the active cooling base array will be turned off. Once they cool down to 45 ° C, they will reset. Attention: Due to interference from the cooling fan, the active cooling base array is incompatible with strong magnetic fields, such as those found in most drum mixers.
