The composition of high concentration organic aquaculture wastewater is similar to that of sludge materials in sewage treatment plants. However, the solid phase composition of wastewater from livestock and poultry farms is relatively complex, containing proteins, fats, hemicellulose, organic acids, and inorganic salts. When treating it with a decanter centrifuge, flocculants need to be added to remove small particles and increase the size of flocculants [18].

The existing aquaculture wastewater treatment process takes a long time and occupies a wide area, while the horizontal screw sedimentation centrifuge has a large capacity for solid-liquid separation of aquaculture wastewater. Compared with other solid-liquid separation equipment, it has the advantages of small footprint, low investment, and high adjustability.
