The main difference between diaphragm filter press and ordinary box filter press is that two elastic membranes (composite rubber membranes are integral membranes) are installed on both sides of the filter plate. During operation, when the feeding is completed, high-pressure fluid medium can be injected into the diaphragm plate, and the entire diaphragm will bulge, compressing the filter cake and achieving further dehydration of the filter cake, which is called press filtration.
Working Principle:
Firstly, positive pressure dewatering, also known as slurry dewatering, is a process in which a certain number of filter plates are tightly arranged in a row under strong mechanical force, forming a filter chamber between the filter plates. The filter material is sent into the filter chamber under strong positive pressure, and the solid part of the filter material entering the filter chamber is intercepted by the filter medium (such as filter cloth) to form a filter cake. The liquid part passes through the filter medium and is discharged from the filter chamber, thus achieving solid-liquid separation. As the positive pressure increases, solid-liquid separation becomes more efficient. However, from the perspective of energy and cost, excessively high positive pressure is not cost-effective.
After the slurry is dehydrated, a pressure filter equipped with a rubber extrusion membrane is used. The compressed medium (such as gas and water) enters the back of the extrusion membrane and pushes it to further dehydrate the extrusion filter cake, which is called extrusion dehydration. After entering the slurry for dehydration or squeezing dehydration, compressed air enters one side of the filter cake in the filter chamber, passes through the filter cake, and carries liquid moisture out of the filter chamber through the filter cloth on the other side of the filter cake for dehydration, which is called air blown dehydration. If both sides of the filter chamber are covered with filter cloth, the liquid part can be evenly discharged from the filter chamber through the filter cloth on both sides, which is a double-sided dehydration of the filter chamber.
After dehydration is completed, the mechanical compression force of the filter plate is released, and the filter plate is gradually pulled apart. The main working cycle is to open the filter chamber and unload the cake separately. According to the different properties of the filtering material, the filter press can be set up for slurry dewatering, extrusion dewatering, air blowing dewatering, or single and double-sided dewatering, with the aim of minimizing the moisture content of the filter cake to the greatest extent possible.
What types are there?
1. Rubber diaphragm filter press is ideal for filtering materials with weak acids, weak bases, and non organic solvents.
2. Diaphragm filter press is used for strong acid, strong alkali and organic solvent materials, with relatively ideal performance and longer service life.
3. The diaphragm filter press has achieved an efficient dewatering filtration process and can ensure the filter press's filtering effect, significantly reducing the moisture content of the filter cake.
Installation:
1. Firstly, before installation, the foundation of the diaphragm filter press should be leveled, and the horizontal error of each installation reference surface should not exceed 2mm.
2. Install the oil cylinder support, level it with a cushion plate, and ensure that the two supports are on the same horizontal plane. Do not tighten the bolts between the oil cylinder and the support. Then install the oil cylinder on the oil cylinder support and tighten the anchor bolts.
3. Install the tailboard. Lift the tail plate (using a steel wire rope to lift the center hole of the tail plate) and connect the tail plate to the main beam.
4. Install the main beam pillars. Assemble a main beam and oil cylinder, and fix the main beam and the middle pillar with a main beam clamp.
5. Flatten the installed tailboard, install another main beam and fix it with a clamp. The two main beams and tailboard positioning clips should be installed in place without leaving any gaps.
6. Align the diaphragm. Measure the levelness of the two main beams with a level, and the height difference between any two points on the two main beams should be less than 3mm. The height of the main beams should be adjusted by the main beam pillars, and the diagonal error of the frame should be less than 6mm. This can be achieved by adjusting the left and right positions of the tail plate.
7. Install the headboard. Hang the head plate onto the two main beam tracks, check the coaxiality between the spherical end cover and the piston rod, with a coaxiality tolerance of 2mm. The coaxiality requirement can be achieved by moving the spherical end cover up and down and left and right. Install a pressure plate to connect the head plate to the piston rod.
8. Install the track box bracket and upper and lower track boxes.
