The radar water level gauge rangefinder emits extremely narrow microwave pulses from the water level gauge antenna, which propagate at the speed of light in space. When it encounters the surface of the measured medium, some of its energy is reflected back and received by the same antenna. The time interval between transmitting and receiving pulses is proportional to the distance from the antenna to the surface of the measured medium.

1. Product principle

Radar water level gauge rangefinderThe antenna emits extremely narrow microwave pulses, which propagate at the speed of light in space. Note: When radar antennas emit microwave pulses, there is a certain emission angle. There shall be no obstacles between the lower edge of the antenna and the surface of the measured medium, as well as within the area radiated by the emitted microwave beam. Therefore, during installation, it is necessary to avoid obstructing facilities as much as possible, and if necessary, "false echo learning" should be carried out. When installing instruments, attention should also be paid to: the highest liquid level should not enter the measurement blind zone; the instrument must be grounded, and lightning protection measures should be added; outdoor shading and rainproof measures should be taken.
