1. Instrument Introduction

The FTIR-8400S adopts a new type of air-cooled high brightness ceramic light source, with a simple structure, stable performance, and long service life. The interferometer is the core device of FTIR, and its high-precision scanning is the key to high-sensitivity measurement. The FTIR-8400S adopts a stable and wear-resistant dynamic mirror drive system FJS mechanism, combined with ADA mechanism, to optimize and stabilize the state of the interferometer. The FTIR-8400S has a short preheating time and stable measurement state. In addition, even when replacing the beam splitter, the interference signal can be automatically adjusted to the optimal state.

The Shimadzu FTIR-8400S interferometer window panel is made of KRS-5 material, which has excellent moisture resistance compared to ordinary KBr window panels. In addition, the interferometer is sealed and equipped with a silicone desiccant.
