Early Siemens temperature control valves used cylindrical thin-walled windows guided by the side of the valve core. Although it could reduce the unbalanced force, there was still a large unbalanced force when a fluid was close to closing (flow direction). Moreover, with the change of valve opening, the unbalanced force changed. The use of a valve cage structure with a balance hole can eliminate the unbalanced force and has a damping effect, which is conducive to the stable operation of the control valve.

It is also used in places with bypass control, for example, where one fluid exchanges heat through a heat exchanger while the other fluid does not. When the electric three-way regulating valve is in front of the heat exchanger, a diversion three-way regulating valve is used; When the three-way regulating valve is installed after the heat exchanger, a combined electric three-way regulating valve is used. Due to the fact that the fluid flowing through the three-way valve installed in front of the heat exchanger has the same temperature, the leakage rate is relatively small; The fluid flowing through the three-way valve installed after the heat exchanger has different temperatures, resulting in varying degrees of expansion of the valve core and seat, leading to significant leakage. Usually, the temperature difference between two fluids should not exceed 150 ℃. A three-way regulating valve with a cage structure, equipped with a balance hole, and guided by a cage. Therefore, it can greatly reduce the unbalanced force.
  IIprinciple
Temperature control valve, abbreviated as temperature control valve, is a typical application of flow regulating valve in the field of temperature control. Its basic principle is to control the inlet flow of heat exchangers, air conditioning units or other heating and cooling equipment, and primary heating (cooling) medium to achieve the control of equipment outlet temperature. When the load changes, adjust the flow rate by changing the valve opening degree to eliminate the impact of load fluctuations and restore the temperature to the set value.
3、 Characteristics
1. There are two valve cores and seats, similar in structure to a double seat valve. But in an electric three-way regulating valve, when the flow area between one valve core and the valve seat increases, the flow area between the other valve core and the valve seat decreases. In a double seat valve, the flow area between the two valve cores and the valve seat increases or decreases simultaneously.
2. Gas opening and closing can only be achieved by selecting the positive and negative effects of the actuator. The change of gas opening and closing of the double seat valve can be directly achieved by reversing the valve body or valve core with the valve seat.
3. When used in control systems that require fluid proportioning, it can reduce costs and installation space by replacing one gas open control valve and one gas closed control valve.
