A soft starter is a motor control device that integrates soft start and soft stop functions, as well as new protection functions. Its main components are connected to the power supply through reverse parallel thyristors and their electronic control circuits of three charging motors. It can use multiple methods to control the conduction angle of reverse parallel thyristors, so that the input voltage of the controlled motor varies according to different requirements, achieving different functions. Soft starter and frequency converter are two completely different product applications. Frequency converters are used in areas that require speed, and their output not only changes voltage but also frequency. A soft starter is actually a voltage regulator used for motor starting, with a constant output voltage frequency. The converter provides all the soft start functions, but it is much more expensive and structurally more complex than soft start. The motor soft starter uses a threaded soft starter between the power supply and the control motor to control the thyristor conduction angle. The motor input voltage gradually increases from zero to the preset function until the start is complete, and the motor voltage is given, which is called soft start. During the soft start process, the motor starting torque increases and the speed gradually increases.
Soft starters are divided into three types:

Pay attention to checking the environmental conditions of the soft start to avoid exceeding its allowed operating conditions. Please check if there is a passage around the ventilated object to ensure there is sufficient space (over 150mm) around the soft starter.
