Overview

Vertical mixers, also known as reaction mixers, are selected based on different mixing purposes, tank shapes, rotational speeds, viscosity, and other conditions. The selection of machines and the form of mixing blades also vary. Different fluids, mixing volumes, required mixing shaft diameters, shaft lengths, impeller diameters, rotational speeds, viscosity changes during mixing, and other factors are all considered.

Product Details

1、 Blender type:
The different types of mixers mainly depend on the different forms of mixing blades. The commonly used mixers are generally propeller type (propeller blades), in addition to various other forms of mixers such as inclined slurry, frame type, anchor type, turbine type, screw type, etc. Generally, the first three are more commonly used.
Propulsion and inclined slurry mixing are generally used for rapid mixing of small fluids. The commonly used ones are 3-blade spiral propulsion and 2-blade inclined slurry. The number of blades can be 2, 3, 4, or multiple, and the blade is usually one layer, but can also be two or more layers.
Frame mixing is generally used for slow mixing of large fluids, usually with a right angled square mixing frame. In addition, there are also circular arc frame or plate frame types, and multiple frame combination types can be used as needed. Anchor mixing belongs to frame mixing and is widely used in food processing and chemical mixing.
There are various forms of turbine stirring, mainly to enhance the shear action and circulation ability of the fluid. They are mainly divided into open turbine and disc turbine types. The specific blade forms vary according to different stirring requirements, and will not be listed one by one here.
The material of the mixing shaft and impeller is generally A3 steel, 304 stainless steel, or 316 stainless steel. Various anti-corrosion materials such as fiberglass lining, rubber lining, plastic lining, etc. can also be lined on the shaft body and impeller surface according to different anti-corrosion requirements.
Here are three commonly used forms of mixers:
1、 Three blade propeller mixer: The three blade propeller mixer is generally the most typical axial manifold mixer, with high liquid discharge and low shear performance. Due to its strong circulation ability and low power consumption, it can best demonstrate its advantages in low viscosity, small volume mixing and stirring. Therefore, it is widely used in low viscosity liquid stirring, reaction, suspension, dissolution and other processes with small solid-liquid ratios. Detachable propeller blades are generally three bladed, with flexible disassembly and assembly, making them convenient for situations where they need to be disassembled into small parts.
2、 Slant blade slurry mixer: Slant blade slurry can be divided into integral slurry and detachable slurry, generally in the form of two blades at a 45 degree angle, which plays a role in axial and radial diversion. The liquid flow pattern during mixing is more complex than that of straight blade, and the energy discharged is higher than that of straight blade. The comprehensive effect is better. If two or more layers are used, the effect is even better. Easy to disassemble and repair during use, with a relatively high frequency of actual use.
3、 Anchor type and frame type mixers: These types of mixers are generally used for slow and large-scale mixing. Commonly used include right angle frame, right angle cone bottom frame, elliptical bottom frame, anchor type, etc. They are suitable for mixing, reacting, and other processes of high viscosity liquids, generating horizontal circumferential flow. For example, if they are folded blades or angle steel blades, they can increase the vortex near the blades, and vertical blades and crossbeams can also be added to the blades as needed to increase the mixing range.

Scope of application:
Wastewater treatment - domestic wastewater, industrial wastewater, aluminum sulfate, etc; Food industry - cream, chocolate, milk, soy sauce, chili oil, mayonnaise, juice, others; Petrochemical industry - crude oil, gasoline, asphalt, bitumen, methanol, benzene, toluene; Chemical coatings cosmetics, lotion, ink, paint; Dye industry - dyes, titanium oxide, adhesives; Pharmaceutical industry - pharmaceuticals, pesticides, pharmaceuticals; Brewing industry - yellow wine, whiskey, unfiltered soy sauce, beer; Water purification plant - tap water, industrial water; Mixing in other industries, such as dissolution, mixing, heat transfer, dispersion, absorption, precipitation prevention, reaction, dilution, emulsification, suspension, and crystallization.
  
3、 Selection precautions: Due to different mixing purposes, tank shapes, rotational speeds, viscosity, and other conditions, the selection of machines and the form of mixing blades also vary. Different fluids, mixing volumes, mixing shaft diameters, shaft lengths, impeller diameters, rotational speeds, viscosity changes during the mixing process, and other factors that need to be considered are also different. The following are several commonly used selection criteria for reference:
1. The form and diameter of the impeller selected for the mixer.
2. The number of layers and installation height of the mixer impeller.
3. The rotational speed of the mixer impeller.
4. The external dimensions of the mixing tank, such as shape, internal volume, etc.
5. The working environment and intensity of the mixer.
The main material of the shaft blade is SUS304, and other special materials or acid and alkali resistant lining coatings should be indicated separately.
If special protection is required for the electric motor, such as outdoor or explosion-proof protection, please provide separate instructions and specify the required level.
For high-speed or high-capacity mixing operations, positioning devices should be installed at the bottom or middle of the shaft to reduce the failure rate caused by shaft shaking.
If the viscosity or consistency of the fluid medium is high, it is recommended to consult our engineers.
If there are environmental conditions such as high temperature, high pressure, explosion, flammability, and corrosion, relevant and accurate parameters must be clearly provided for further selection and customization.
  
4、 Precautions for operation:
Before starting the power supply, ensure that the motor wiring is correct and all electrical indicators comply with the motor nameplate to prevent damage to the machine due to high or low voltage; Determine the wiring method for forward and reverse rotation according to actual needs.
★ It is strictly prohibited to operate the propeller without immersing it in liquid to avoid danger and equipment damage.
The fixed foundation of the equipment needs to have sufficient rigidity to ensure no resonance or shaking.
Before starting the mixer, please confirm that the foundation bolts and all screws are securely fastened.
If there is any abnormal sound, temperature rise, or shaking of the device after startup, it should be stopped immediately and checked and dealt with again.
