VOCs, also known as volatile organic compounds, mainly come from industrial exhaust emissions, automobile exhaust emissions, furniture and household appliance production, building and decoration materials, coal and natural gas, etc; VOCs are important precursors for the generation of ozone and fine particulate matter, and are a significant source of pollutants for urban haze and photochemical smog. When the concentration of volatile organic compounds is too high, it can cause acute poisoning. Mild cases may experience symptoms such as dizziness, coughing, and vomiting, while severe cases may lead to liver poisoning or even coma, posing a life-threatening risk. In order to protect the green mountains and clear waters and build an ecological power, the Air Pollution Law has put forward strict requirements for the control of volatile organic compounds.
