The ZJP series Roots vacuum pump is a positive displacement vacuum pump that uses a pair of 8-shaped rotors to maintain a certain gap in the pump casing and rotate at a constant speed in reverse to produce suction and exhaust effects.

Main Features

The ZJP series Roots vacuum pump has a high pumping rate at lower inlet pressures and automatic overload protection. However, it cannot be used alone and must have a front-end vacuum pump connected in series. The Roots vacuum pump can only start working when the pressure in the pumped system is pumped to the inlet pressure allowed by the Roots vacuum pump by the front-end vacuum pump. In general, Roots vacuum pumps are not allowed to work under high pressure differentials, otherwise they will be overloaded and overheated, causing damage. Therefore, when using Roots vacuum pumps, it is necessary to choose the front-end vacuum pump reasonably and install necessary protective equipment.

Pre stage vacuum pumps are generally oil sealed mechanical pumps, but if the ultimate pressure requirement is not high, other forms of coarse vacuum pumps can be used as pre stage pumps. Especially when extracting gases containing a large amount of water vapor, it is ideal to use a water ring vacuum pump as the front-end pump, although the maximum pressure that can be achieved should be lower.
