Introduction to sintering fan:

The ore used for smelting needs to be sintered before smelting, and sintering requires a sintering machine. The sintering furnace requires a flue gas main exhaust fan and a cooling ventilation fan. Centrifugal blowers have become the mainstream choice for main exhaust fans in sintering plants due to their high air volume and high negative pressure performance characteristics.


According to the different sections of the sintering system where the fan is located, they are respectively referred to as (taking the sintering fan model of Hubei Shuangjian blower as an example): sintering main exhaust fan, sintering ring cooling/cooling fan, head/tail dust removal fan, sintering machine ignition combustion fan, etc.

As the main exhaust fan supporting the sintering machine, the power consumption of the sintering blower accounts for more than 50% of the total power consumption of the sintering plant. Due to the fact that the medium it transports is sintering flue gas with a high dust content, improving efficiency, reducing energy consumption, strengthening wear-resistant measures, and increasing service life are still the main technical issues for sintering centrifugal blowers.


The air volume of the sintering blower depends on the sintering area of the sintering machine; The pressure depends on the thickness of the sintered material layer.


At present, the large-scale production of sintering machines (capable of producing 1000 m2 sintering machines) and thick material layers (up to 700mm) have prompted the development of sintering centrifugal blowers towards high air volume and high negative pressure. The maximum flow rate of the sintering centrifugal blower is 23000m3/min, the maximum pressure is 19620Pa, and the maximum power is 14500kW.


Due to the limitations of manufacturing process conditions and transportation conditions, the sintering induced draft fan matched with extra large sintering machines often adopts a dual machine parallel connection form.

Wear resistant lining plate welding

The blades are equipped with replaceable wear-resistant lining plates (with tungsten carbide welded on the surface of the lining plates)

At present, research is being conducted abroad on the aerodynamic design and calculation of two-phase flow (solid particles and sintering flue gas) for sintering centrifugal blowers, attempting to further solve the wear problem of sintering induced draft fans from an aerodynamic perspective.
