Recently, our company (Dier Chemical Packing Co., Ltd., Pingxiang City, Jiangxi Province) has started supplying and installing the wet tower maintenance and renovation project for a waste incineration power plant in Zhejiang Province. The tower has a diameter of 6.2 meters and our company is responsible for removing the old tower internals and packing materials, and then installing new ones into the tower. The construction personnel orderly carry out the excavation and installation of tower internals in the order of bottom to top and inside to outside. During the installation process, they fully utilize their professional skills and use installation tools and equipment such as cranes, forklifts, welding machines, etc. to ensure that the installation positions of the tower components are accurate and the connections are firm and reliable. For some key tower internals, such as liquid distributors, defoggers, packing supports, etc., they strictly control the installation accuracy and use measuring tools such as level gauges to accurately measure and adjust their levelness, verticality, center position, etc., ensuring that their installation errors are controlled within the allowable range.
Taking the installation of liquid distributors as an example, liquid distributors are key components in wet process towers to ensure uniform distribution of liquids, and their installation quality directly affects the absorption efficiency and operational stability of wet process towers. When installing the liquid distributor, the construction personnel first lift the liquid distributor to the installation position according to the design requirements, and adjust the support and connection pieces to ensure that the levelness and center position of the liquid distributor meet the design requirements. At the same time, strict inspection and fastening were carried out on the connection parts of the liquid distributor to ensure a firm connection and no leakage.
The installation of a defogger is also an important task. The main function of a defogger is to remove fog droplets from flue gas, preventing them from causing corrosion and blockage to subsequent equipment. When installing the defogger, the construction personnel strictly follow the installation drawings and technical requirements to assemble it in advance, and then lift it into the tower to ensure that the blade spacing of the defogger is uniform and the installation angle is correct. They also carefully debugged and inspected the flushing device of the defogger to ensure that the flushing device can work properly, timely remove dirt and impurities on the surface of the defogger, and ensure the defogging effect.
The filling material used this time is PP high flow ring packing, which has the advantages of large specific surface area, high porosity, corrosion resistance, wear resistance, etc., and can effectively improve the absorption efficiency and mass transfer performance of the wet tower. During the loading process, they also pay special attention to avoiding mutual compression and collision between the fillers, to prevent damage to the fillers and affect their performance.
During the installation process, the Deere construction team focused on quality control and established a strict quality inspection system. Every installation of tower internals must be inspected on-site by quality inspectors, and only after passing the inspection can the installation of the next process proceed. The Deere construction team completed the renovation task in just 6 days, achieving significant improvements in desulfurization efficiency, significant reductions in energy consumption, and enhanced operational stability, providing strong support for the green development of waste incineration power plants and making positive contributions to environmental protection.
