1、 Product Introduction
Activated carbon filters are generally used as advanced treatment equipment for water treatment or sewage, mainly to remove suspended matter, organic matter, color, etc. Currently, due to the high price of activated carbon and the difficulty of regeneration, its practicality is limited. It is ideal to use it when conditions permit.
2、 Operation steps
1. The filter material inside the adsorber can be filled with a quartz sand layer at a height of 0.15-0.4 meters as a support layer at the bottom. The particles of quartz sand can be 20-40 millimeters, and activated carbon particles of 1.0-1.5 meters can be loaded on quartz sand as a filter layer.
2. Before loading the filter, the bottom filter material quartz sand should undergo a stability test of the solution. After soaking for 24 hours, it should meet the following requirements:
(1) The increase in solid content shall not exceed 20 milligrams per liter.
(2) The increase in oxygen consumption shall not exceed 10 milligrams per liter.
(3) After soaking in alkaline medium, the increase in silica does not exceed 10 milligrams per liter.
3. After washing the quartz sand thoroughly, it should be carefully cleaned inside the equipment. The water flow should be from top to bottom, and dirty water should be discharged from the bottom until the effluent is clear. Then, granular activated carbon filter material should be loaded and cleaned again. The water flow should be from bottom to top, and dirty water should be discharged from the top.
4. When the adsorber is working, the raw water flows downstream from the upper inlet. When too much pollution is intercepted and the water quality decreases, backwashing can be carried out. The backwashing time can be blown once a day or once a week depending on the specific situation.
(1) There should be no sand running during backwashing.
(2) When encountering backwashing, if the water output exceeds the specified time but still does not meet the requirements, the equipment should be repaired instead of increasing the backwashing speed.
