It is usually set at the inlet of channels and culverts, used as a working gate to regulate flow, control water level, or as a maintenance gate to close the orifice and block water.

The difference between cast iron gates and copper inlaid cast iron gates lies in the water stop surface. The water stop surface of cast iron gates is made of iron, while that of copper inlaid cast iron gates is made of copper. The sealing surface of cast iron gates is prone to high hardness, wear, and corrosion resistance, so cast iron inlaid copper gates are generally used.

The door frame and gate plate are both made of gray cast iron or ductile iron. The guide rail is symmetrically arranged on both sides and connected to the two ends of the door frame with stainless steel bolt positioning pins (for small and medium-sized gates, the guide rail can be cast as a whole with the door frame). The length of the guide rail is generally 1/2 to 1/3 of the full opening height of the gate, so the overall structural strength is high, rigidity is high, wear resistance, corrosion resistance is good, and pressure bearing capacity is large. 2. The copper inlaid cast iron gate is sealed by the wedge device, and the sealing material is copper alloy or rubber, which is precision machined and matched, so the sealing performance is good. 3. Adopting pre embedded steel plates or pre embedded bolt installation, it is easy to install, debug, use, and maintain, with a long service life. 4. Copper inlaid cast iron gate is used in conjunction with a hoist. The gate is the working part, and the hoist is the executing part for opening and closing the gate. The hoist is driven by human, motor, pneumatic, hydraulic mechanism to drive the gears, worm gears and other components of the transmission device, and drives the transmission nut or screw to rotate to make the gate shaft move vertically up and down, thereby opening or closing the gate to achieve the purpose of water, closing water or adjusting water level.

When the sealing and water stop performance decreases, it can be solved by adjusting the wedge device.
