Comet filtration device for mine waterComet type fiber filter material (also known as 863 adaptive filter material, 863 is the research and development code) is a combination of the good adsorption and interception performance of fiber filter material and the good backwashing effect of particle filter material. Its porosity is as high as 85-90%. In comparison, the porosity of 1mm quartz sand filter layer is 45%,
When filtering, the air gap distribution is uniform in the cross-section (horizontal) of the filter bed, ensuring consistency in the size of the water flow channel during filtration. Its direct effect is uniform interception of pollutants and avoiding water flow short circuits. At the same time, the density of the comet shaped fiber filter bundle after immersion in water is close to that of water. The filter material in the upper part of the filter bed is greatly increased by the buoyancy of water, resulting in a significant increase in the porosity of the filter material. As a result, the distribution of porosity in the vertical section gradually decreases from top to bottom, and the porosity follows a gradient distribution along the vertical section of the filter bed, as shown in the following figure:

This structure is highly advantageous for the effective separation of suspended solids in water, as particles detached from the upper part of the filter bed are easily captured and trapped in the narrow channel of the lower filter bed. Therefore, high-speed and high-precision filtering can be achieved.
Comet filtration device for mine water(Comet style fiber filter)Has the following characteristics:
a、 High filtration accuracy: After analysis and testing with Multisizer3 particle size distribution and counter, the removal rate of suspended solid particles larger than 5 μ m in water can reach over 90%, with a maximum removal rate of 97.7%. The normal effluent turbidity is below 1NTU;
b、 Fast filtration speed: generally 40m/h, up to 70m/h, which is more than three times that of ordinary sand filters;
c、 Large pollutant carrying capacity: generally 15-35kg/m3, which is more than 4 times that of ordinary sand filters;
d、 Low backwash water consumption rate: The backwash water consumption is 1-2% of the periodic filtration water consumption;
e、 Low dosage and low operating costs: Due to the structure of the filter bed and the characteristics of the filter material itself, the dosage of flocculant is 1/2 to 1/3 of conventional technology. The increase in periodic water production leads to a reduction in operating costs per ton of water;
f、 Small footprint: To produce the same amount of water, the footprint is less than one-third of that of a regular sand filter;
g、 Strong ability to withstand impact loads: When there is a significant instantaneous change in the turbidity of the incoming water, the effluent can still meet the requirements.
