Composite graphite gasket
Made by cutting or stamping pure graphite plates or metal (tooth plates, flat plates, mesh) reinforced graphite plates, it has numerous sealing properties, such as thermal stability, self-lubricating, corrosion resistance, anti-aging, non brittleness, etc. It can be used stably for a long time under harsh working conditions and requires very little maintenance. The lining material can be selected from different metal sheets. The types available are no edge wrapping, inner edge wrapping, outer edge wrapping, and inner and outer edge wrapping. Graphite cutting gaskets are made by punching or cutting pure graphite plates. They have good corrosion resistance, high/low temperature resistance, good compression resilience, and high strength. Various circular and complex geometric gaskets are widely used in pipelines, valves, pumps, pressure vessels, heat exchangers, condensers, generators, air compressors, exhaust pipes, refrigerators, etc.
Flexible graphite gaskets are cut from flexible graphite sheets (or with metal reinforcement) and are divided into four types according to application needs:
1. Flexible graphite gasket: cut from flexible graphite sheets, used for pipeline flanges and valve covers, etc. It is recommended that these gaskets be small diameter gaskets, depending on their low mechanical strength.
2. Flexible graphite gasket MI: A hooked carbon steel sheet (0.2 mm thick) is sandwiched between flexible graphite sheets and then cut into specific sizes, with high mechanical strength.
3. Flexible graphite gasket PM: The flexible graphite sheet is adhered to both sides of a 0.2mm thick 304 stainless steel sheet, which has high mechanical strength and is easy to transport. Due to its ability to be cut into complex shapes, this gasket is widely used in various industries.
4. Flexible graphite gasket PM-A: Replace the stainless steel sheet in T/# 1215 with 316 steel (50 microns).
Used for various industrial pipeline flanges, heat exchangers, valve covers, as well as special shaped flanges on liquid level gauges and level gauges. The graphite gasket is made of graphite wire and is woven and shaped.
Made of pure expanded graphite wire reinforced with materials such as glass fiber, copper wire, stainless steel wire, nickel wire, and nickel alloy wire. It has various characteristics of expanded graphite, strong universality, good flexibility, and high strength. Combined with general braided roots, it is an effective sealing component for solving high-temperature and high-pressure sealing problems.
Performance characteristics of composite graphite gasket: It has anti-corrosion, high/low temperature resistance, radiation resistance, compression resilience, and high strength. The required pre tightening force is smaller than that of metal gaskets and metal wrapped gaskets, and the requirements for flange surface are not high. It is a relatively economical and practical sealing material.
